Jan 2020 Honor Meal | Osgood Community Fire Department

Do Good was honored to have the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department as our guests on December16th. They were our first Honor Meal recipients.

These firemen answer the call of serving their fellow man every day of the year. Day or night, cold or hot, snow or rain, they put their lives in danger to save peoples lives or personal property. These brave, caring, selfless individuals are deserving of our thanks and gratitude!

When asked what type of help we could draw attention to for them, what needs we could make aware to the public, this was their answer.

1.) We really need more volunteers!!

2.) Let people know of their Palm Sunday Soup Day, this is held on Palm Sunday, April 5th from 11-1. This is their fund raiser! And lastly, when I asked if they had ANYTHING else they were in need of, they said they could us ventilation equipment. This equipment entails large fans to help remove the smoke from burning structures, allowing the firemen to see better and move around more safely. The fans cost $3,800.00 per fan. Let's help them to purchase some equipment that will help insure their safety. If you are able send a donation to: Osgood Fire Department P.O. Box 94 Osgood, OH. 45351 Attn: Frank Miller If you see a fireman make sure to thank him for all he does!! "Greater love has no one than this; to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15?13
