All tips given the month of May will be given to the Scott Wendeln family of Fort Loramie. Scott is 52 years old, married to Sandy, and their children are Danielle (23) and Hannah (18). Scott works at Hi-Temp Glass in Piqua and Sandy currently works at Al’s in Fort Loramie.
Scott developed a cough in November 2024 and downplayed it until he began to grow very sick in January 2026. He was diagnosed with double pneumonia after being rushed to the ER at Wilson Hospital. While there, he lost his pulse and CPR was administered. He was then care flighted to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. While in the ICU he was placed on an ECMO. He was taken off the ECMO after heart surgery to place in the Impella 55 to help his heart pump. On February 5, 2026 he was moved to Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. He waited weeks for insurance to cover LVAD (left ventricular assist device) or a heart transplant. Scott opted for the LVAD to buy himself time before possibly needing a heart transplant. After spending 82 days in the hospital, Scott returned home where he still has a long recovery journey ahead.
Scott enjoys playing music, throwing darts, and spending time with family and friends. Let us keep the Wendeln family in our daily prayers. Your generous tip will help cover their ongoing medical bills. Thank you and God bless!
