Tip of the Month Recipient | The Wyatt Family

All tips given the month of August will be given to the Wes Wyatt family of New Bremen. Wes is 57 years old, is the husband of JuliAnne, and the proud father of Xavier and Carson (engaged to Carter Kemper). Wes owns his own social media marketing business, while JuliAnne is a stay-at-home mom who lovingly keeps their home running and cares for their family.

As a family, they are deeply rooted in their Christian faith and have relied on God to carry them through every step of this journey.

On November 15, 2025, Wes began experiencing severe chest pain and was transported by EMS to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. Doctors quickly determined he was suffering a major heart attack and transferred him to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima for emergency treatment. During a cardiac catheterization, doctors discovered his right coronary artery (RCA) was completely blocked. Due to his unusually large arteries, they were unable to place a stent. Over the next several days, Wes underwent four additional cardiac catheterization procedures and required an intra-aortic balloon pump to support his heart for five days.

After returning home, Wes suffered a second major heart attack the very next day. During treatment, he developed a rare reaction to heparin that caused his platelet count to rapidly drop, preventing his blood from clotting. He then suffered a life-threatening brain bleed and was placed on a ventilator in a medically induced coma. During his hospitalization, he also developed a blood infection and bronchitis.

Wes spent nearly two months in the hospital from November to January and missed many special family moments. Three of those weeks he was in a coma. Following weeks of physical, occupational, and speech therapy, Wes was finally able to return home. However, just one day later, he was admitted to The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital, where doctors discovered blood clots in both arms, one leg, numerous small clots in his lungs, and his completely blocked right coronary artery.

Wes continues to face ongoing health challenges. He continues to battle numbness that has migrated into his legs, pelvis, back, and abdomen, causing significant irritation. He recently received an epidural steroid injection in his back to help manage his pain and continues regular follow-up appointments with his cardiologists at St. Rita’s Medical Center and his hematologist at The Ohio State University as they closely monitor his condition.

Despite everything he has endured, Wes remains determined to move forward. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, writing his book, and focusing on improving his health each day. Through every setback, the Wyatt family has remained steadfast in their faith, trusting God’s plan and praying that their story will be a testimony of His faithfulness, strength, and grace.
