All tips given the month of April will be donated to the Ethan Jeanneret family of Wapakoneta. Ethan is 12 years old, son of Dustin and Rebecca (Kinninger), and brother to Isabella (5). Ethan is a 7th grade student at Wapakoneta Middle School and active in their choir. Ethan was born with a hole in his heart, and had open heart surgery at 22 months old. At the time of surgery it was discovered he had two holes. One hole was repaired and they left the other hole open in the hopes that it would help alleviate the pressure in his lungs. It was determined he has pulmonary hypertension and he was started on medicine via a portal pump. Through the years, his heart was monitored closely by Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In 2022 they started talking about a lung transplant being in the future. Things escalated pretty quickly with test results not being where the doctors felt comfortable. Monday, October 7, 2024 Ethan’s mother was called telling her to get Ethan to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus as quickly as possible. His reported test results were not favorable to the doctors so he was immediately admitted to ICU and tests were started to determine if they can preserve the heart. Open heart surgery was done October 9, 2024 to repair the remaining hole, insert a pacemaker, and insert a pump that would act like his lungs. He was placed on a transplant list for double lungs. Ethan had to stay in the hospital until after a double lung transplant could take place. Prayers were answered when Ethan received his double lung transplant surgery on December 5, 2024. The surgery was successful, and the March 2025 follow-up appointment went well. He will continue life with frequent check-ups and many medications daily. The first year after surgery he is being tutored at home. Ethan loves playing video games and spending time with his sister. He is quite creative and has his own Youtube channel, Ethan UFO. Your generous donations will help pay for Ethan’s ongoing medical bills. Thank you and God bless!
